Where's your favorite place to kill time in-between auditions?

  • In nice weather, World Wide Plaza.  Outdoors at 49th/50th St in between 8th and 9th Avenues.
  • You can check your e-mail for free at the Times Square Visitors Center at 46th and 7th—Good if you have an audition at AEA.
  • The Marriott Marquee right on Times Square.  Take the elevator to the 8th floor (lobby).  It's a great big space with nice chairs and tables, and clean bathrooms!
  • I like to go to the gym while I'm waiting.  I feel like I'm getting something productive done and I'm keeping myself warm for the next audition.  I sing my best after a good workout.
  • Probably Starbucks, it's usually fairly quiet in there. A good place to sit and read, listen to music, think..
  • Performing Arts Library at Lincoln Center, Whole Foods at Columbus Circle.
  • I love to go to the Coffee Pot on 9th avenue and 49th.  But I end up going to the little deli bodegas near the audition sites for tea.

  • The drama book shop on 40th between 7th and Bway.
  • A long break? the Movies.
  • Sephora, Times Square (brush up your makeup for the next audition.)
  • That's why I live midtown...Ripley Grier is convenient.  Find a way to live in Manhattan, it seems to make all the difference.

  • I go home. I've always been in the village. It's fantastic. To be honest, multiple audition days are pretty rare except in really crazy periods.

  • I've noticed that when I'm in the Times Square area with time to kill, there is a hotel on like 48th and Broadway, I think it's the Hyatt, where you can just sit and chill out. There's a lobby area and bathrooms  and stuff.

  • Other top answers...Barnes & Noble (mentioned a lot), Cafe Europa, Virgin Records Megastore, Tower Records, Colony Records, Kodama Sushi 45th St. and 8th Ave, Central Park, Gray’s Papaya, The Malibu Diner, Rockefeller Center, Time Warner Center, Equity Lounge, Chipolte.
