Who do you use as an accompanist, voice teacher, or voice coach?

• Steven Silverstein.  Most accompanists are eager to work, and have a card....ask at auditions if someone plays well for you.

• Vocal Technique: Shari Anderson (212) 724-1366 If you can get it with her, consider yourself very lucky. She is ridiculously wonderful.

• Matt Farnsworth is my voice teacher and he does wonders with my voice.  Where most teachers have you jumping through hoops to get the exact placement and sound you're looking for, he has the profound ability to get you there simply.  Highly recommended!

• Andrew Byrne is a terrific voice teacher.  He's a stellar pianist (can play anything, transpose on the spot) and has a wealth of knowledge and experience teaching good technique.

• Voice teacher;  Adrienne Angel 212-595-4867, Acting Coach:  Jim Boerlin, HB Studios, Recc: Betty Ann Hunt-Strain.  Everyone has to find teachers that work best for them.  I thank Adrienne and Jim every time I get a job!!

• Matt Eisenstien...He’s played for every show on Broadway and always has great advice, without trying to be my acting teacher or anything

• I use my college professor friend when he is town and when not I use a computer program as accompanist most of the time.  I had a voice teacher and she was good but expensive when you don’t have a job!

• I have a list of audition classes that were VITAL in me understanding how to audition effectively in NYC.

• My old musical director as an accompanist.  I take voice in Jersey...it's cheaper there

• Vocal Coach: Michael Forman (212) 956-1510 He runs late ALL THE TIME. If  you can deal with that, he kicks your ass as a vocal ACTING coach. About $70/hour.

• David Libby and wife Tina Marie Casemento (They team coach.. She directs while he plays).
